There have never been as many young people on the globe as there are today, and because the elder generation is retiring and the planet is heading toward its worst crisis ever, it will be up to the youth of this generation to take the reins. Yet are they prepared?

Anyway, there are a few aspects of today’s youth that I find really alarming. Should we place the blame on violent television shows, video games, or “misogynistic” hip-hop music, or on poverty, or a lack of self-discipline, selfishness, cellphones, and the internet?.

Also, given what we see and hear on social media, do young people of this generation truly have a special problem?

We question whether there is any truth to these rants about the issues facing this generation in the wake of yet another needless incident. Has this generation developed a special disdain for respect and other things I have mentioned as a result of the internet, cultural change, Hollywood, and poor parenting?

However, I have noticed these young bright people act with reckless cluelessness, lack self-discipline, regard themselves as less religious, are narcissistic, have a strong desire to take but never give back, are comfortable with dishonesty, and pretense, and are selfish, disguised as self-care. They also have little emotional intelligence and an exaggerated sense of ability.

They are People who ask you to denounce your friends and family for ridiculous reasons in order to stay accepted in a particular clique of nebulous ideology, they act overly entitled, overly certain, only looking out for themselves, and lack of ability to give or accept criticism, acting too cool to care, have an unwillingness to take the time to learn, poor judgment in reading things, lack of care in listening, and being absent from conversations.

Think they can control the world, and they are mostly shielded from reality, lack empathy for others, and have excessive expectations for themselves and others in the workplace. They also seek a lavish lifestyle but are unwilling to put in the necessary labor.

They demand quick high incomes with little experience, blame parents for inadequacies, need instant gratification, are more concerned with being affluent than actually being successful, and like getting attention.

A generation in which you will be vilified for having a different perspective and will be perceived as an outlier. Where you are accused of being a negative vibe because you seek clarification. And Young folks simply attempting to out-demonize one another.

It’s not easy out there. Please pray for us.
